Who are Basecodetech?
Basecode, an IT services and consulting agency in Lagos, Nigeria, implements digital tools like Zoho, Salesforce, and Google Workspace to streamline business operations. Their solutions automate tasks, save time, increase profits, and boost team productivity.

GOALS & MOTIVATIONS
Create an Intuitive user centric website that:

STAKEHOLDERS & TEAM MEETINGS
We sat down with the founder, Matthew Omeike, to discuss priorities for the redesign.
Together, we finalized key elements including brand colors, fonts, images, and the website copy, which had already been created and just needed to be integrated into the new design.
HEURISTIC EVALUATIONS & ANNOTATIONS
Accessibility, Consistency, Purpose.
Through heuristic evaluations, we identified several key issues with the previous website, including:

Text deters users from scrolling down

Too much irrelevant text

Info not organized in a pleasing way

Inconsistent text hierarchy
DEFINING THE PROBLEM
Users are leaving the Basecodetech website frustrated due to usability and design challenges.
SITEMAP
We used the research & a variety of exercises to further understand users and build a strong foundation for the website.
INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE
Streamlining Content for Better Accessibility and User Experience
With a pre constructed copy already available, the objective was to focus on how to organise and make the content more accessible to users and less overwhelming.
MIDFI WIREFRAMES
VALIDATION & REFINEMENT
The team reviewed and conducted usability testing with the mid-fidelity prototypes to validate design decisions and identify usability issues by observing users' ability to complete tasks.
Once the experience was to a point we were okay with, it was time to start the design journey!
